Irosin, Sorsogon - At about 6:30PM on August 30, 2009, New Peoples Army (NPA) terrorists murdered CAA Florencio Siudadano, assigned at Mapaso CAFGU Detachment, while the latter was on off-duty status. Siudadano was shot in his house in Bgy Monbon and suffered nine (9) gunshot wounds. He was declared dead-on-arrival (DOA) by attending doctors at Irosin Municipal Hospital.
In a radio interview, Major Harold M. Cabunoc respectfully called on various human rights groups and local leaders to strongly condemn the series of dastardly killings. "Such incidents are senseless", Major Cabunoc added. He nonetheless affirmed the AFP's commitment to push for peace and development in the Bicol region despite the spate of killings perpetrated by the NPA.
