CAMP ELIAS ANGELES, Pili, Camarines Sur – A man who was accused of being a military informant was sentenced to die through the barrel of the gun by New People’s Army (NPA) terrorist group in Sorsogon on September 7, 2010, a military official said.
LtCol Santiago Enginco, Commander of the 49th Infantry Battalion identified the victim as a certain Donde Dioda, 40, of Monbon Village, Irosin town.
The victim was shot to death by the NPA bandits near the house of Sangat Village Chief Pedro E Hubilla in Gubat town at around 830pm, Tuesday.
A computerized letter from Bagong Hukbong Bayan (BHB) was left on top of the remains of the victim who suffered multiple gunshot wounds causing his instantaneous death.
The cadaver was brought to Gubat Memorial Homes for autopsy. Dioda is the 33rd victim of the NPA’s extrajudicial killing in the Bicol Region in CY 2010.
Twenty (20) of the victims are innocent civilians who are accused as military spies.
