Indonesian Army Brass Visits Home Of "Spear Warriors"

CAMP ELIAS ANGELES, Pili, Camarines Sur – A contingent from Indonesian National Army (INA) visited the home of Spear Warriors as part of the confidence building measures between the Armies of the Philippines and Indonesia. The visit is intended to exchange information on matters relative to mission, organization and capabilities.
 
Brigadier General Agus Mulyadi, Deputy of Security Assistant to the Army Chief of Staff and head of INA delegation was welcomed by Major General Ruperto R. Pabustan, commander of 9th Infantry Division, Philippine Army upon their arrival on September 29 at the 9ID Headquarters. As part of the activity, the Indonesian Army visitors was given the opportunity to watch the capability demonstration on Squad Tactics performed by the students of 9ID Quick Reaction Platoon.


The delegation was also given a guided tour on the famous tourist destinations in the Bicol Region such as the Camarines Sur Water Complex (CWC) in Pili, Cagsawa Ruins in Daraga, Albay and Lignion Hill Deck in Legazpi City during their two–day stay.

It is the first time that 9ID was tasked by higher headquarters to host foreign visitors. As one of the best maintained camp, Camp Elias Angeles boasts of its serene environs and scenic spots. The visitors departed Bicol region bringing with them good memories about the soldiers and the warm hospitality of the Bicolanos.
