Death from afar. Local communist terrorists (LCTs) lay dead along the rice paddies after being shot by Army Scout Ranger snipers during a running gunbattle in the early hours of September 25, 2009 in Brgy Mabanate, Pilar, Sorsogon.
MGEN RUPERTO R PABUSTAN AFP and staff visited the engaged troops of the 3rd Scout Ranger Battalion. MGEN PABUSTAN congrautaled the troops for their gallantry in action and their commitment to serve the Bicolanos. 
Recovered firearms from dead LCTs. The M16 with scope and the green-colored one are part of the weaponry used by the enemy in a gunbattle with a team of Scout Rangers early this year in the same province.
